Board of Directors

The UNISA MUN Society founding fathers and Board of Directors members are students and young graduates at the University of Salerno.

President

Giovanni holds a Masters degree with honors in Public Management at the University of Salerno. One of the founders of the UNISA MUN Society in February 2012, since the beginning he has served as Vice-President and he was recently elected as President. The focus of his activity was the development of the area, with a focus to the area of Salerno, through the promotion of its cultural, artistic and gastronomic aspects. In addition, he has been involved in institutional relations, fundraising and logistics. He is also the Vice-President of AEGEE-Salerno, an association providing support to Erasmus students at the University of Salerno. A lover of history, inspired by the statesman Luigi Einaudi and the President Theodore Roosevelt. “Speak softly and carry a big stick, you will go far!”

Vice-President

Michele holds a Master degree  with honours in Public Management at the University of Salerno. In February 2012 he contributed to create the UNISA MUN Society and since the beginning he has served as Team Manager and Treasurer. Currently serving as the Vice-President, he is keen on spreading the MUN principles to the entire world, starting from the South of Italy.

 

Aniello Manzi
Secretary

Aniello holds a Masters Degree with honours in Public Management at the University of Salerno. He is also involved in the “Quindici project” from his local community, close to the city of Avellino. He is one of the founders of the UNISA MUN Society and currently serving as its Secretary. He is inspired by the lesson of Alcide De Gasperi, a master of the European integration: “Un politico guarda alle prossime elezioni. Uno statista guarda alla prossima generazione”.

Carmine Russo
Treasurer

Carmine holds a Master degree  with honours in Public Management at the University of Salerno. He is one of the founders of the UNISA MUN Society where he served as Marketing & Fundraising Assistant. He hopes to help reduce the “digital divide” in Italy, and particularly in the South. “…That our children will never be separated by a digital divide.”  (Al Gore,  Knoxville, Tennessee).

 

Mirko_MontuoriMirko Montuori
Counsellor

 

Mirko is a cum laude graduate in International Relations at the Catholic University of Milan and holder of a Master in Diplomacy at ISPI. He has also been an exchange student and fellow at the universities of Geneva, Sciences Po (Paris) and Salerno. His professional career started in Paris and brought him to Washington DC, Ypres, Brussels, New York and Rome. He has been organizing international conferences since the age of 20. In 2005 he has been one of the founders of the MILMUN Association where he covers the position of Advisory Board member and Treasurer since 2008. In March 2012 he was one of the founders of the UNISA MUN Society and as its first President he took care of the academic and scientific part of the conference. Also a founder and first president of MUN Academy, he is currently in charge of institutional relations and partnerships development.

 

Riccardo Mazzucchelli
Counsellor

Riccardo Mazzucchelli is a graduate from Bocconi University, Milan, in Management of International Institutions and Public Administrations; he also obtained a master’s degree in European Studies, at LUISS, Rome, and a second one in Euro-Mediterranean Relations at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona; he has also worked as a consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and he is currently in Beirut, Lebanon, to complete his studies on the Arab world. He has participated to several MUNs in Europe and Northern Africa, being a strong supporter of their added value to everyone’s life.

Daniele holds a Master degree in Public Management at the University of Salerno. He is one of the founders of the UNISA MUN Society where he served as IT & Marketing Assistant. He strongly believes in the power of civil society and he works towards its social, political and economical promotion.
